老闆係80後，而且店鋪開業已經有9年，目的都係希望將涼果呢種傳統小食承傳落去。店內所賣嘅涼果都係老闆精挑細選，大部分貨源都係嚟自本地嘅老廠家。店舖起初以賣涼果為主，但後來為左跟上潮流，所以決定將涼果加入新元素，​以​吸引大眾。

 

皇甘栗最有特色嘅莫過於佢地推出嘅涼果味雪糕。老闆覺得依家嘅年青人未必接受涼果，為左迎合年輕人嘅口味，老闆就決定加入一啲創新嘅元素，將涼果同雪糕結合，目前就推出左話梅味同陳皮味嘅雪糕。我地涼果研系都有試食過呢兩款雪糕，話梅味嘅雪糕有種酸酸地嘅味道，而陳皮味嘅雪糕，兩款分別都有一粒粒嘅話梅肉/陳皮肉，而且都幾足料，雪糕都有幾重嘅奶味同都幾純滑，整體嚟講都好值得一試。

It's grocers sharing section again! This time, we have interviewed Chestnut King, one of the loenggwo store located in TaiPo.

The shop owner was born in the 1980s, and he has been running the business for nine years already. His aim is to pass the culture of loenggwo to the next generations, the traditional snack of Hong Kong.

Most of the loenggwo, which are conscientiously chosen, are imported from local loenggwo factories.

 

The most significant feature of Chestnut King is the loenggwo- flavoured ice-cream. Since the acceptance of loenggwo is relatively low among teenagers, the shop owner decided to add some new elements in order to catch up with the current trend, thus attracting more customers. Ice-cream flavors such as dry salted plum and tangerine peel are worth trying.

 

Apart from ice-cream, the shop owner recommended us to try Tangerine peel, Finger Criton and Square Nut. Most of these loenggwo are sweet and sour in taste. Moreover, they are good for our health!
